Grindr etiquette - Where do you live? / Where are you?

If you’re not from Hong Kong nor been living here for a while, you would question what’s wrong with this question.Keep in mind from one furthest side of Hong Kong to the other side is 30km max, and given that taxi here is really really cheap compare to most foreign countries. (It’s cheaper to catch a cab every single trip to commute than owning a car)First lets talk about when other asks you this question…Unless you are in the middle of a different conversation, they don’t really care where you live, the implied question is actually “Can you host to play nearby?” Most people you see on grindr (unless you’ve blocked everyone or filtered) would be within 15min taxi from where you are…if a person can host, they are usually upfront about it here because people here for some reason can afford stuff to play, but can’t afford to find a decent room which is only around 300HKD to 500HKD.A more polite way to ask would be “Do you host or travel?Now about people’s response, if they say “Oh so far…” or similar, unless they really have a reason they can’t travel (usually applies for people looking for quickies) it usually just mean “You’re not hot enough for me to spent that amount on taxi to get to you.”Afterwards they will follow up with a question “Are you alone?” … You get the pattern here?Personally, I just play along with their questions, because usually where I live whether I live alone or not, it’s usually not the place I play… I just didn’t say that I can host elsewhere…, unless I’m totally broke that month, I usually can afford a few hundred dollar room for a night…Sometimes, I genuienly need to ask this question so I can find an area which is convenient for both of us to book a room, but when I ask where they are they give me reply like “At home…” WTF… then you better just stay there and wank. When he asks me where I am, I’ll just reply “On the street.” HahMy model answer: >300 the country and city you are in, 30km city you’re in, >1 km the suburb, <1 km near which building/street

Grindr etiquette (Hong Kong intro)

Just random thoughts gathered while grinding, don’t know where to put it down, so might as well on here. Topics will be based on questions people ask, WTF conversations, and other weird and funny stuff I encountered while grinding, . Feel free to flame or correct me if Im wrong. All friendly/unfriendly suggestions accepted, but not guaranteed if I will do any shit or care less about it and pretty damn sure that I will be on blocklist of many locals here, but I really don't give a fuck (both literally or not).

Hong Kong - A place that will wear your patient out when grinding, you will endure countless interviews using same base template, interviewers are usually less friendly and questions asks mostly isn’t what they seeking to know, likewise for their answers.
