I sleep in on the weekend...

I sleep in on the weekends and non-school days. No shame! NO #momguilt ! . . The partner and I do it for everyone’s long time happiness, and nobody is allowed to feel bad about it. Our #lonelyonly likes his independence, and we get to catch up on much needed sleep. He gets to play grown up for a few hours, and we sleep easy knowing there’s no actual risk for him. This routine was not an easy one to make, but it keeps him from disarming the security system and walking to Nana’s house at 5am to meet the barrel of a very alarmed, PTSD Pappaw. 😱 . . It’s not conventional, but it #fostersindependence and keeps him close for the #bigkidyears . I’m just glad we found something that works and benefits everyone (in the short and long term)!
